i remember that a few of you guys went to the show at red rocks in colorado in 2004 and they play a few of the songs that are on the album now. how much different were they then since they were still a 4 piece band. ive been wondering since it seems they felt the need for a 5th musician.

As far as I know, only two people from here went: Jeni and Jim.

I keep hoping that someday, somehow, a recording of that show will surface.

You can hear early versions of "Wipe That Smile Off Your Face" and "Walking In Circles" on many bootlegs from 2003 that we have on the hub, though. :D

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but the Comedy Network has been advertising for HIPT almost constantly for the past week or so (with a short ad featuring a clip of WAY, plus clips of the video ... "in stores August 30th")

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

Which Jim is this, and why was he permbanned?

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Is this a Canada exclusive thing? Or is this the Comedy Channel, and the commercial is aired in the U.S. as well?

I know MTV2 showed a commercial for the album.

haha, s&m

anyway

so my sister called me and told me she bought me a cd today.

it was healthy in paranoid times. yeah, so i guess they're selling them already at walmart, so that's cool. it's not the dualdisc one though, so that sucks.

i really really like the booklet for this one.

no lyrics

it's in that old building that they posted photos of, with a bunch of stats written all over the walls about what has happened over the 1165 days it took to record the album. here are some:

38 billion dollars were spent on pornography
6708 hours of tv was watched by the average child
40,000 hybrid vehicles sold
138 million people ate at McDonalds.
