What does everyone recommend for a good guitar effects/distortion pedal or pedal-board that offers a variety of effects? Preferably something high quality...

Well, it depends on how much you want to spend and what you prefer in your setup.

I tried this one out several times before and I think its a great pedal. I'm not too sure home much it costs down in Kingston but I found one in Edmonton for $250.

But the best thing for you to do is to go down to your local guitar shop and test them out yourself.

I've never been able to find a pedal or system with effects that I've been consistently happy with because it always changes with the amp that you're using. So I decided to just invest some money in an expensive amp with all the effects that I want built in.

nah, the pedal gives you like...vocoder, telephone, alien, cyborg, and other random things...its fun.
