I forgot to say thank you to the whoever chose me for the Lifetime Achievement award.
It rules and it's cool that I've achieved life!

Also, I say that everyone who won the Lifetime Achievement award should also be instantly rewarded with becoming a Moderator on the CM!

So.... I do post here every so often. However, as I was posting today in the Carnival Closed Down forum (which you should all check out, because I'm funny), I recognized this little award thingy. I did some research, and found out that apparently four months ago, I won a Lifetime Achievement award. So I had to come up with a speech......

I'd like to thank Theo and Ryan from bringbackthesun.com who basically helped me get the whole idea started. Al, Nam, Josh, and Matt for eventually hosting the hub. And anyone who hosted temporarily in the before-time. Mark Loj for providing some amazing recordings. Dewey Cole, the same thing, though he's never posted here. He's responsible for most of the Toledo, Detroit, and other Michigan and Ohio area recordings. Pete (Yonder9 or something), Josh again, and the others who helped collect every recording known to man at that point in the OLP-ness. Jonathan for answering most of our technical questions. All the original hub ops. Trig and George for their constantly witty comments. And the two Dave Matthews Band hubs that I started out in that launched the whole idea in the first place.

I still kind of lurk around and help when I can, but I've moved on to being married, promoting local bands like CRAZY, and just focusing less on live recordings and more on going to live shows of all bands. I still owe Matt a whole bunch of live CDs. Maybe I'll work on that today, since I've been so honored, I feel I should give back. I know I've got at least a few recordings that are not in circulation amongst you crazy kids. I'll see what I've got, and post my list. Then I'll send them to Matt. Someday. No promises. I've got to clean the house before the wife gets home, b/c I said I would. Haha.

Anyway, thanks again for the award. I don't think it'll quite go on my resume, but strangely enough, it's really cool to see something still going so strong three years later that I created. I guess if I hadn't started this, some of you guys wouldn't be as close of friends as you are, and that's a really good feeling.

We'll talk soon...
