In The Event....

In the event Our Lady Peace were to break up after touring of Healthy In Paranoid Times...what group would you most likely give more attention to?

For me it would def be either Green Day or Foo Fighters (probably the foos)..

I d give some more attention to A Perfect Circle when they start playing agian.

I really dont think OLP will break up, tehyre still relatively young, and I know they will still have it in them. They are excited now about playing, and I am sure they just wont "end it" right after this. Maybe they'll take a break, but they wont quit, after all this.

well from what you've been saying about the album, then it would prove that OLP reinvent themselves after every album, so a group that is able to do that more successfully, seems to have a longer shelf life, than 3 Doors Down or crap like that...

The only reason I give OLP any attention today is because of this board (which would live on long past OLP).

I don't actually listen to them much any more. The odd song every now and then. Eventually I'll listen to the first four albums again.

yeah, same. (about listening to the first four albums)

i dont know what i would do if olp broke up after HIPT (which i doubt), i guess i will be pretty disappointed even though there is a lot of other music out there. the only current band/artists i can think of that i'd be as 'obsessed about' as i have been for olp would be matthew good, or radiohead, or incubus.

Maybe Radiohead or The Dresden Dolls. I like Radiohead more, but their online fan base is too large. It's impossible to keep up with.

OLP are too big to call it quits like that. barring some sort of huge internal break up, they'll announce their final tour before it happens.

aaaanyway... there are too many great bands out there to worry about it, or to focus on just one of them. if somebody comes out of nowhere and does what clumsy and happiness did for me, then maybe i'll think about it

I don't even listen to OLP anymore so it wouldn't affect me at all.

Though I listened to Naveed the other day... ah, memories.

it might happen once in a while, but 9 times out of 10 a band with any sort of public following will announce their final tour ahead of time. and all the guys seem to get along pretty well, so there's no reason to think they wouldnt go on one last tour for the fans.

If I recall correctly, they had quit touring several years before they broke up. They just released albums and stuff. But that may be a lie.
I just wanna get out,

Hoping that OLP won't break for a very, very, very, very, etc.. long time. If they did brake up, I don't know I probably pay attention to a newer band probably from Canada. I always like bands better that are in Canada for some odd reason.
