Best way to score tickets?

Post by ShadowLord »

Oi!

I was wondering what you guys think/know would be the best way to make sure to score tickets for the Montreal show.

It seems the Calgary show sold out in 90 seconds. I'm assuming it will be the same for Montreal.

So what would be the best way to make sure I get a ticket? Calling Admission? Admission's website? Going to some nowhere mall where there's a Admission booth?

I really wouldn't want to miss this.

Thanks.

Ask a friend to try to get some online for you. Someone who will, you know, be willing to get to the Ticketmaster website 5 or 10 minutes before they're supposed to go on sale and press refresh a whole bunch for you.

There's no such thing as ticketmaster in Quebec. Here it's Admission.

Once upon a time there was a sad little creditcardless girl who couldn't get tickets to see OLP in Calgary cause it sold out in 90 seconds...

...STORY OF MY LIFE!

I have tried Ebay and everything...it is all so sad! I have no idea what there is left to try...any ideas??

Now I have to resort to sitting outside the concert doors and experiencing the concert that way. Sure I have seen OLP in concert before, but this is a small venue and a dream come true and now I am 18 and can go to their small club tours! GAH!

Oh well, I suppose I'll just have to resort to the plan I came up with years ago which was save up my money to see them play a small venue in the states. :P
I call that plan B! lol

I have three syllables for you: DE BIT CARD!

Works the same online as a credit card, as long as you've the funds!

We're lucky Nikki. I wouldn't be surprised to see them playing one of the clubs here. ♥ I do that too though, I already have my tickets for the Big Ass Show even though that date isn't even on the site yet. It's confirmed at the radio station's site. If they don't show I'll flip!

I'm sure they will... I can't imagine a radio station lying about who'll be playing.

And, to ourladypeace10000... you could try going early and if you run into any members of the band, maybe they'll get you in. Or ask people in line if anyone has an extra ticket they're willing to sell. There's also the possibility that more tickets could show up at the box office the day of.

I've gone to several concerts (OLP and other) without tickets and I've never not gotten in. So as long as the venue is close to you, it's worth a shot. :)

Well this sucks.

Tickets for the Montreal show sold out in about one second. The second I refreshed the webpage and they were on sale, they were gone. All of them. I even sent my grand-father to some middle-of-nowhere selling point... and the second it turned noon and the person there tried to lock some tickets, they were all sold out.

This is fucking bullshit. How the hell did anyone get tickets for this show?

So if anyone here somehow magically got tickets to spare... I'm willing to buy up to four, for friends of mine and I. And no I will not pay some crazy scalper price. You're a crook if you sell them for more than what you got them for.

shadowlord,

i was at the downtown montreal box office at 11:30 and was 4th in line. the first guy got 4 tickets and then the desk lady got the call saying the show was sold out. my younger sister was on the other side of the island doing the same for me, and my older sister was online with my credit card info.

i got nothing.

and now i've quite seriously lost any will to live.

Ahh, I had no idea all this time that I could use my debit card online...that is amazing! If only I knew sooner :P
Does that mean I can use my debit card on things like ebay too??

Anyways, thanks nikki4982 so much for the advice. That gives me a little bit more hope. I was planning on showing up pretty early to see if I could catch the band in case I dont get to catch the concert, but if I could score seeing the show that would be really awesome. That would be sweet if I scored both, ha ha, but I wont get my hopes up.
