Why do phones always cut out at the important parts?

Post by faninor »

So I was participating in a conference by phone... and every time someone tried to tell me something, most of their words were cut out.

I say, "I can't tell what you're saying, the phone is cutting out!"

And then I hear clearly, with no cuts, "Oh, okay. Well, I will call you later then."

What the hell? The phone will let me hear that? And then there's the debate . . . what do I do now? Do I say no wait, it's getting better, only to be dealing with more cutting out a minute later?

Or do I respond by saying alright, goodbye, letting them know that I heard what they said that time? Might that make them think I was lying about the phone cutting out to begin with? Frustration!

What do you do in this situation?

Phones have done that to me. You just repeat what they said:
Them-"Oh okay I'll call you later."
You-"Sorry, I'm gonna have to call you back later."

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever
