The New Fans...
How many of these new Our Lady Peace fans do you think will check out at least one of their past four albums? Sadly, I think probably 1/3 will only check out one past album from OLP's cataloge. I would go check out all four, but most people probably won't be like that. What do you think?

There will be young kids out there who pick up Gravity and love it. And there will be those young kids who go back and check out the older albums and fall in love with them, just as we have. There's nothing better than discovering a band with a large cataloge to check out. In a way I wish I could be one of those youngsters out there, discovering OLP this way. I hope that all the new fans check out the old material, that would be terrific. Maybe that's what Gravity will do, allow new fans to enter the realm of OLP and expose them to Happiness..., etc.

I'm sure there will also be a number of people who will like Gravity, go out and buy an older album, and be really disappointed in it. It's such a weird change for the band that i think anyone who gets pulled in by it will probably not be very impressed by previous albums.

I think anyone who bought it would also enjoy Naveed, and maybe Clumsy.

Naveed is definately better than Clumsy imo.
Let's see how many new members we acquire in the next few days, that would tell us how much the kids like Gravity. If they like OLP, they would come to this board, and we will recommend them the previous albums.
I never thought of buying Naveed until I came to this board. This board introduced me Doves and DMB, *changes voice to the Kellogs tiger* They're GREEEEAAAAAAT!

Al's emails put a smile on my face, even though all they say is "You've got a private message!"

What do you guys think. I mean we are the ones who can get OLP out there to the masses.,

I voted 4/10. I wish more people would check out the old stuff .... but you get a lot of new fans going, "OMIGOD, I got this new release album and it is just great" then you burst their bubble saying they have other previous albums

"If I found a hot woman to have sex with me, so can you!"
