But Groening recently revealed he had no plans on calling time on the show because it was still attracting massive viewing figures.

Previously, creator Matt Groening had hinted the series, which started in 1989, would end with a big-screen adaptation.

:uhh:

but actually, i'm kinda lookin forward to this movie, then. :) should be cool.

It goes on to say that he has no longer has plans of ending the series (meaning that the movie will not end the series).

It would be awesome if this movie didn't suck ... but I'm not overly hopeful. Some of the newer episodes have been alright, but not up to Simpsons standards. They'd better pull out all the stops on this one.

I love the Simpsons. The beginning of this season was iffy, I agree, but lately its been all good! I've grown up with them, literally my entire life(from age one).

I know what you mean from growing up with the simpsons. In the kids of my family, we'd be quoting it all the time, sometimes without even realizing.

Yay movie!

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Apparently I wasn't allowed to watch it when a was younger, but I don't recall that in the slightest. Me and my sister and two cousins would always talk about it. The three shows we always used to watch when the four(or three) of us were together were The Simpsons, Hercules, and Xena...

No, I'm weeping because he has no plans of ending it because it is still being watched a lot. Admittedly, this season was better than previous ones, but the show has been going like this (DIAGRAM WARNING):
