I wouldn't necessarily ask a guy out. However, i'm really direct. Meaning that if Ilike you, you'll know, so long as we're friends. And I probably will eventually tell you anyway if you haven't figured it out. The thing with "asking out" is mostly that I dont like dates. They're good for special occaisons, but i'm more than happy to like, sit on the beach all afternoon with a boy or lie on the couch in jammies watching movies all night. I'm too laid back for "courting".
To the guys that have told me they dislike being asked out, i think its more of a "well i'm the man" type thing, with I guess a more traditional(misogynic
) type of dude.

how profound.
Jeeze, people need to stop freaking out about this stuff. How old are you? like 21? 22? You're not in grade 8. It's just a boy. If he likes you then he'll say yes, if he doesn't he says no, aznd you move on and live your life. It's so incredibly simple.
(and yes this is meant to come off harsh. It's what I would say to a friend if they were fretting over this stuff)

I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Yeah, you're right. Maybe I'm mentally 8.
And perhaps you do sound harsh and I do sound stupid. I'm sorry. But if I recall don't you have a girl you are practically engaged to? I am not so experienced in the dating game and these things come difficultly for me. Besides, from experience, this type of thing causes stress for most people, not just myself.

Yes I'm ever so experienced with my umm let's count them... 2 girlfriends that I've had in 6 years.
And to be honest most people do act stupid in relationships. That's why we have a massive divorce rate, and that's why people break up even when they aren't married. Just because it's a problem for everyone doesn't mean it has to be one for you.

It's not as easy for some people man, and not everyone appreciates the "tough love." Basically try not to overthink it Cass. Although asking people out is hard, it's mostly because of overthinking. He can only say yes or no. If he says yes that's wonderful, if he says no well that's too bad but you tried and hopefully he will be nice about it. If he's a jerk about it then he wasn't worth it anyway and you wouldn't want to be with a jerk anyway.
Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf
Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...
Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...
So glad you could stay
Forever
He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand
You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..
So glad you could stay
Forever
