some of those video scenarios look incredible.

i don't see it being too groundbreaking or anything. At least personally the point of gaming is sitting on your ass and doing nothing remotely physically, but it looks pretty cool none the less.

I'm thinking that developers will come out with games that use the controller in interesting ways, but are otherwise complete crap.

Fact is, you can't have a complex stealth action game or RPG with a remote control that has a severe button deficiency.

Unless, of course, one of the tba attachments is a real controller.

I'm thinking the directional pad could be made into four buttons if needed.
Plus the two on the analogue attachment.
but it would probably be a bitch trying to contol your player with the two different controller pieces.

I think I'd feel tied to the controller(s). At least with a regular 1-piece controller, you can let go with one hand, adjust your grip, etc.

But again, I think gameplay is going to be based around hardware rather than software, at least for the first year or two. Though the controllers are innovative (see: new), the gameplay won't be. It'll be the same games, except rather than focusing on style, gameplay, storyline and overall quality, developers will focus on integrating the new controller into the games. Instead of creating something new within a stealth action scene, for example, you'll be doing the same old crap, but you'll control what you see through your nightvision goggles with a hand motion rather than pressing a button or using an analog stick.
