I'm not particularly excited over DualDisc format. I don't know if anyone has purchased a dual disc album yet, but I've read the CD side can tear up your cd player. The audio doesn't conform to standard audio. I have a Pioneer DVD/CD/VCD player, purchased last year, and it won't play the audio side of it, nor will my truck's cd player. No problems with the DVD side though. Catching the making of the album should be, a very lengthy video. :P

I'm also excited to hear Walking In Circles. That was a fun song to get the crowd going on their live tour in '03.

Jen, how can you judge a song purely based on the title. Your shallowness makes me not ungrumpy.

And to go along with everyone else, SCUTLEY PLEASE STOP AND RE-READ. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a new article...

http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/artic ... 1000964014

They mention another single that i haven't heard of before, An Apology. The statement about the DVD "Live" being issued on the same day as the album coming out confuses me...

[Edit] This article makes somse sense out of it,

"Canadian rockers Our Lady Peace, who'll be appearing at the Live 8 show in Toronto, will release Healthy in Paranoid Times on August 30. The album is the group's first new studio release since 2002's Gravity. In additional to the conventional CD release, a DualDisc edition will also hit stores, featuring an in-depth look at the making of the LP."

You can find it here: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/150432 ... lines=true

The DualDisc thing sounds interesting, and I'd love to see that in-depth look, but knowing my crappy old cd player, it will probably refuse to play the audio side.

I've purchased only one DualDisc so far (new Foo Fighters), and I haven't had any trouble. The only thing I don't like about it is there there is no disc artwork. :(

I think it'll be one of those dual disc ones where one side is a CD, and the other is a DVD. That would make sense. They've been coming out with those recently.

They also said OLP will tour, I wonder if it just going to be them, or with anyone else.

Stop telling me to re-read stuff. It was late night like 2am in the morning and I was tired. Gosh, sometimes you guys can get on my nerves but its all good.

I agree, but it looks like maybe it's being released as a standard CD also. I will likely pick up both.

The only disc artwork I can remember is the weird stuff on Naveed... I don't remember what the others look like. I mainly look forward to the cover art, more than the disc art.

But the point was that you did, in fact, need to re-read it. Being 2am was just the reason that you had to re-read it.

Without looking...

Naveed - twigs and dirt and whatnot
Clumsy - Sol sitting on the trapeze
Happiness - Sol silhouette with tracklisting
SM - Simplified version of the sitting man
Gravity - who the hell cares? (geodesic dome, right?)

Yes, the dualdisc thing annoys me too for two reasons (three, if what Matt says about it ruining players is true): one, no CD artwork, which I like, and two, odds are one side is going to get completely ruined while the other side stays perfectly fine (because normal I don't have to worry about the label side of my CD). That's what happens to my double sided DVD's, where one is widescreen and the other is fullscreen.

Okay, so maybe I just suck. But if this DualDisc thing does somehow work out, I'm looking forward to it. Maybe I'll just buy two versions of the album.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,
