I met someone who'd had an implant thingy that would last for I think a couple of years. You could feel it under the skin on her arm.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

A prescription through your doctor, without benefits will cost like over $30 a month .. with my benefits I was able to get like 3 months worth for only $12 or something but yeah .. $30 a month is ridiculous.

I used to pay $30 a month (exactly, just checked my checkbook) for them. It was definitely painful to pay that much.

Oh yeah... and I'm gonna make a post that goes along with the original purpose of this thread.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE MY UTERUS!!!!!!!!!!!! :crying: :crying: :crying:

Why does it always have absolutely HORRIBLE timing, too? My family had our Father's Day get-together today at my uncle's house. The main reason we have it there every year is because he has an awesome pool. I woke up this morning bleeding and was like . I hate wearing tampons cos they hurt me for some reason (a lot). :( I did, anyway, though, cos I really wanted to go swimming (and I'm glad I did cos MAN was it hot today). Plus on top of that, I was out of Midol and had to go the whole day until a few hours ago in extreme back/cramp/tummy pain.

I hate being a girl.

I feel like one of the very few people on the planet who isn't completely irregular. I am like clockwork and rarely vary more than two days. Unless I'm not being healthy, but that's only happened once. I get cramps but not so badly I need to go on the pill. I also have no problems with tampons. I am hoping when I get married that I will be fincially stable enough to just go by my own personal timing than go on any birth control because I just don't want to mess with my body like that if I don't have to. What I need is monthly Prozac  That week is just horrific.

i used to be really, really irregular. i'd have my periods for like, 2 months straight, and then there'd be two days in between, and they'd start again. it got to the point where i was constantly on the verge of tears. so my trusty doctor put me on the pill, and i got all better and stayed that way

also, i didn't know you could use the pill for cramps

No you can't. Technically, you can only get pregnant after you ovulate, for not more than 72 hours after that. If you haven't ovulated, or you did more than four days before, you can't get pregnant! There are ways to know when you are ovulating. Personally, I know when I am, I can feel it. But your body temp goes up and you can...uh...read some things ;)

That's actually a misconception.... the calendar method is highly unreliable because you never know quite what might happen.

WOAH. There's a dude in the thread still.

Oh yeah, and Alex, not all of those things were because of the tampon. I get the backache, cramps, etc. just normally.

I've tried a bunch of different tampon brands. I dunno, it's weird, I can totally feel it inside of me (which apparently you shouldn't be able to) and it hurts. I think the string part actually irritates me, too, or something. It's a very unpleasant experience.

I'm with you Nikki. I've tried tampons a total of two times, the first time was when I first got my period, so like 5 years ago. It took like ten minutes to get it in, and then when I finally did, it hurt so much that I only lasted a few minutes before I HAD to take it out. The second time was a couple months ago, but once I got it in, I couldn't get it out because it felt like it was stuck and ripping something. That scared me off them for good. I guess I'll just always use pads. *shrug*
