Anyway, Charmander was my first choice when I got the game, with no prior knowledge of how these things worked. I picked him 'cause he was cutest. But wow, best choice ever. He kicked ass.

No way, squirtle was better. Actually in gold i took the fire bird thing. It killed everyone, freaking amazing. In ruby I chose the water one, that was also amazing. Yeah.

i think every pokemon can be awesome if you train it right. i started off with bulbasaur, and i think that was the best choice :nod:

I didn't care for bulbasaur. In fact grass pokemon bother me.

Bulbasaur=dork.

Him and Squirtle can get you through Misty and Brock, but although Charizard has trouble on them, past that he's gold. I'm pretty sure I beat the Elite Four with just my Charizard, at some point or another.

Eventually I came to rely on him, as he was my best Pokemon by several tens of levels.

Feraligator in Gold version. Now that's a good pokemon. He smashed everyone. If I could train my party to higher levels i'd be unstopable.

i beat pretty much every major guy in the blue version with my bulbasaur. and i beat all the elite four with just my bulbasaur too. well, venasaur. then again i only used him most of the time, so he grew pretty powerful. he could paralyze, he could put opponents to sleep, and he had a killer razor leaf. say what you want, but i :love:
