Check our RICH and SHELLY'S site for a nice big update. New version of THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE on PROMOSQUAD and more tour announcments. Also, apparently a new SINGLE in the next 60 days!

whoop-dee-doo. I listened to OLP today for the first time in maybe 4 months (other than the new stuff that was on promosquad) and it didn't excite me what so ever. Me thinks my love of OLP is pretty much dead.

Seriously, XJSB125, why did you ban me? I know this isn't the right place to ask but dude, it's the right time. I was talking about the new version of the song and then you just tell me I'm annoying you and that's grounds to ban me? I was just posting my opinion and asking a question.

Calm yourself. *lowers hand in calmind gesture* Annoyance is good grounds to be banned. Now stop spamming. Only I may spam! :spam:

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

I don't want to be the jerk in this whole thing, but posting in a bunch of random threads asking why you were banned probably isn't going to help your case.

Please don't hurt me.
I just wanna get out,

This is what I am talking about.........Teedus you got banned because you are a personality that most people in charge seem annoyed about....and they really don't have rules like other forums. This one seems very subjective and arbitrary. A lot of your threads and responses were perfectly fine. You just seem newer and a little less informed so most of the moderator types seem to find your proneness to creating already known information into threads to be irritating. Its not that you have bad intentions, some people are just impatient with your naivety....or so it seems. Personally I find you refreshing because you are eager and seem genuinely caring for the band. I find the other members to be constantly negative and sarcastic.......and I'm saying not saying this because I disagree with their decision so I have to stick up for the band....I know OLP has slid into mainstream and the subjectivety that surrounds it can be argued well from both sides. It has to do with their attitude to other members and the constant complaining.....Jim, your revelation is certainly no surprise.

Aside from that everything's cool........most people are great.

well said. I come back here every now and then, and I see a board that has developed very cliquishly. People new to the sight are essentially excluded through ostracism. Threads and posts are constantly tampered with through moving and deleting. Anyone with underdeveloped OLP knowledge is criticized and ridiculed. Yes I realize that hearing the same questions 1000 times can be frustrating. Still, it's exclusive and snobbish to turn people away without a second thought. The CM has become very unfriendly place. This is probably the last post I'll ever write. I wish I wasn't the only one disenchanted with the way things are run.

Oooooooor, you people could stop jumping to conclusions.

Notice that Teedus posted here. Notice that his joined date hasn't changed to today. Notice that HE WASN'T BANNED AT ALL.

He was merely "kiled" on the hub. Something that happens to ALL of us ALL the time. For anyone who doesn't know what that means, it's a temp ban. It lasts for a few minutes. Some people take it too seriously, but TYPICALLY they come back on the hub and ask about it, and we tell them exactly what I've just said. To come on here and post it like it's the end of the world, and to make Matt look like a bad guy is NOT COOL. He has done incredible things for this community that most people have no idea about. He's the most generous person here, and probably the most generous person I know. He PAYS FOR THE CM, and RUNS THE HUB. He's entitled to do whatever the freak he wants.

single supposedly june 7.

is it bad that i became insanely excited upon reading this? the cd seems so much more....real now. i haven't really cared much until now.
wee. that just made my day, though, even if the dates may be off by more than a bit.

Mattinor and hpdfk, ICAM with your posts.

I thought I was the only one noticing that some have major attitude problems around here. People are bashed for genuinely wanting to know more about the band yet people who bitch about how they don't like OLP anymore are more than free to post? Uh, okay...

I understand that the people in charge work their asses off (it's a great looking site, I give them that) but that doesn't give them the right to act all snotty towards people who don't learn the rules right away.

On a more positive note...I'm really excited about the new single. Is the June 7 radio release just for the States or Canada as well?
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along

We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

It would my mighty silly of them to release a single in the US and not in Canada.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I must admit I am psyched with the news on the single, although I am not too thrilled with the single choice.
