I have just finished five days in the studio recording acoustic versions of previously recorded material. Containing nine tracks in total, the disc will be available in the fall as a part of a special version of In A Coma that will include two audio CD’s and a DVD of my video library (or so the plan goes). Despite containing nine tracks, I recorded the songs as one continuous piece that runs interrupted for over 35 minutes. Besides being very ill this week with the beginnings of strep throat, I am more than overjoyed with the results.

And damnit, this can't be pagebabied.

I can't wait!
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I'm seriously hoping this means he'll be playing a bunch of acoustic stuff at the summer gigs. Especially considering Megan and Ryan won't be playing with them.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Rob, it's 4 hours from Kingston to St Catharines... for 20 bucks I'd make the trip.

*shrug* It was news to me.

Actually, there was a write up in the paper this morning about 54-40, because they're playing in Kingston soon. I glanced by the picture and thought "That guy looks like Dave. Weird." I flipped back a moment or two later and actually read some of the article, in which they mentioned his addition to the band.

a say WHAT? I did not know that. I'm not really sure who 54-40 is, but I have a distinct memory of them playing here recently or something.
