Virus Warning

I don't know if this might be a problem for anybody here, but if you recieve an instant message over MSN that says "Lol is this you?" followed by a link that includes your e-mail, don't open it. I just did and it sent itself to all my online contacts. I'm currently running a virus scan.

Also, this might be a good thread for warnings about any current viruses you know are out there...

I think other people I know have been getting this as I'm getting wierd messages from them in my hotmail email account.

Alright, the Virus Scan found nothing. I think the virus is actually in Messenger, because it stoped typing the link everywhere when I closed the program.

I had a virus sent to me through MSN. The thing was that it was from a friend. After you accept it messes up your computer and then sends it to other people, and obviously you accept them because they're from your friend. It has a different name every time. But the good news is, you can just delete the file and you're home free.

I think that worked for me. Although, I have been having a bit of trouble with hot-mail and internet explorer, but that could be completely unrelated.

ANY link that ends in ath.cx should be treated as suspicious.

oooooooo yea. we're definitely cool, us sitting at our computers in our lil rooms. very cool indeed.
