Good title. :) It definitely beats Vampires.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

Yeah I'm just going to copy and paste what I posted on the CC:

I don't know what I think about the title. I mean, ultimately, it's just a title, and it doesn't really effect the music or it's impact on the listener (this could be argued), but I remember when An Unusual Amount of Common Sense was in the running (or something like that) and everyone loved it because it reminded them of Happiness..., but that's exactly why I hated it. It'd just be a rehash. They've already done that, and it seemed to cliche to do it again. Make sense?

Healthy and Paranoid Times, or is it Healthy in Paranoid Times? Well whichever, I think it's much more relevant not only to the music on the album (it is a lyric after all) but also to the message they're trying to get across. It's definately better than Vampires, which I'm guessing was some kind of metaphor (and not a greaaat one I must say).

Umm... who said that? It didn't remind me of Happiness one bit. First off, it's not a full sentence like Happiness was. Second, it's a completely different statement. It would've been a great album title, but thankfully so is the one they're going with (at the moment anyway).

You can't really dismiss that with "whichever". Those two words make them completely different titles. If it were "and", the album title wouldn't be relevant at all... we're not living in even relatively healthy times. I'd hate the title if it were "Healthy and Paranoid Times".

I think "Healthy in Paranoid Times" is a relatively good title because it puts things in perspective. Raine might have had his experiences with WarChild in mind when he wrote that lyric, it's actually one of his better lines I've heard from him in ages. We are living in rough times where we are worried about shit, but in perspective we are healthy and fine compared to war torn and disease ridden countries.

Great lyric.

I don't know who exactly said it, and I don't feel like looking back for that, but I remember a fair amount of people did like it. I didn't say it's exactly like Happiness, it's just I can see a fairly strong similarity between the two. It gave me a feeling like they were trying for that same feel again. I didn't say it's the exact same statement, just that the titles themselves are similar. Both kind of odd.

I'm sorry for the "whichever" but does that really matter? I wasn't "dismissing" anything, I was admitting that I couldn't recall the actual title, and pointing out the fact that it has nothing to do with my following statements. I wasn't sure which one it was, and they're both actually relevant if you think about it. These times are in fact very healthy for quite a few people, with the economy being in the shape it's in, especially in North America. And oddly enough, the people that have a lot of luxuries are the ones who are paranoid. They're both relevant.

I didn't jump on you. I was replying to your post. :freak: If I jumped on you, there would've been a bunch of capitalized words and lots of exclamation points.

Anyway, the economy isn't the only thing that makes the world "healthy". There's SO much evil and corruption in North America right now... it's so disgusting, and certainly the furthest thing from healthy.

But again, these are extremely healthy times for a bunch of people. The point remains, both titles would be relevant.

And for a bunch of people they're not so healthy

So I'm not sure what that does to your point ....

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Well, in a way it's healthy times, because in north america everyone is trying to be healthy and knowledge about what is healthy is common. Also a lot of diseases no longer exist, or the treatment is better than it ever has been.

There are also more new diseases being discovered closer together than ever before.

but that's because of modern technology. I wouldn't doubt that many of these diseases that are being found have existed for ages, only its just now that we're able to finally see them or understand them.

It's all a matter of perspective. Go sit in Baghdad and see if these are healthy times. Go sit in Pyongyang and how healthy things are. Go sit in (insert non developed country/city here)...

I thinkt he point the band (or Raine) is trying to make is that Depsite this being a time of uncertainty for many people, he himself is relfecting on how he is healthy and safe in a time when billions are not.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Exaaaaaaaaactly. Which is why I said the title wouldn't be relevant at all if it were "and" instead of "in".
