[2005-04-12 05:56] <Hal_Johnson> IF and this is a big if, if sony were to want to get really involved and let OLP be part of the show, the people in the show could all work seperately or together to put together a project for olp or about OLP, like if it was by themselves, say one person turns their room into an OLP themed room (like cmer's already do) or someone makes a tribute music video, like I've done, or whatever, or if they all work together to make one huge OLP tribute thing and have OLP check it out and comment on it, and then everyone on the show gets a private olp concert or something

Okay, at the end there was a lot of talk about camera men. What if we did it ourselves? If you have ever seen the Brendan Leonard show, during the time it was on the vast majority of it was written, directed, filmed and edited by Brendan his friends and family. They were already doing the show on cable and when it was picked up by family they threw in a couple of producers but from what I can tell not much changed.

Also, assuming there was a prize a cool way to do it would be to have challenges along the way and instead of kicking off the losers from the tour...perhaps rewarding the winners. And whoever has won the most or whatever can win the prize whatever that may be. That would be different enough from other reality shows I would think to be suitable.

But even if there arn't any prizes or its not a contest, this would be wicked fun. There are actually lots of 'reality' shows out there now that are just following people around. As long as it was planned well enough not to have us sitting on our asses all day and to have entertaining things to do then this would definately be worth watching.

And yes. We do have to race the olp tour bus.

If it happens during spring or fall terms I could probably get away with taking distance courses. Since a Canadian OLP tour wouldn't last a whole term, and a show in a house would be even shorter, I might be able to take the time to be on the show without worrying about school and sneak off to California before we start or after we're done. Maybe I would need internet access every once in a while. It depends on how flexible the courses are.

I have seen that show and yes it would be a VERY easy show to do without a budget. However, a reality show wouldn't be possible without a budget.

We'd need funding and there's no way I can get funding for a project like this without an actual experienced crew.

Not only that, but professional film equipment costs more than you could imagine which is a risk on it's own having people who don't know how to use all the equipment properly trying to use it. If something were to break then we'd be EFFED.
