One day back in 2002, a little kitty wandered into my yard. She had a collar, but none of my neighbors said they had seen her before. Also, she was unable to purr. Clearly she had been mistreated and abandoned. She was insanely cute, so I decided to take her as my own.
It wasn't long, however, before she started taking over the house.
If I tried to use my computer, she would get in the way.
If I wanted to sit in my recliner and watch television, she would already be there.
As she grew older, she claimed more and more things around my house as her own, such as the piano.
She even hissed and clawed at the old books on top of it until we bought her a kitty bed to put in their place.
She took over my bed as well.
I refuse to share everything I own with Cookie. On July 4th, 2005, I am going to barbecue Cookie, and then I am going to eat her. However, if I receive $10,000 in donations before July 4th, this will not happen. I would be able to buy duplicates of everything in my house that Cookie has claimed for her own, so that I will never have to move her out of my chair or off my table again.
Only you can make the difference. To save Cookie, Paypal your donation to joshua.day@lifetime.oregonstate.edu
