Could this all be a ploy?

Does anyone think SONY/OUR LADY PEACE released those clips for reasons of masking what's really on the ALBUM to stop it from being leakerd? I mean, most people would now be looking for these songs only, forgetting what could be out there.

Seems like a pretty bad ploy... what are the odds of one of us listening to that thing, getting an OLP song, AND recognizing it as OLP? The first part alone is pretty unlikely.

EDIT: I just think Sony put it on there because it's a site for "crash testing" new music, so to speak. We got lucky.

I know I will be seriously pissed right now if I didn't get "Angels", "Future", "Picture", and "Don't Stop" on an album

So, agreed, it would be a bad ploy.

If it's not a ploy, then does this mean all the song clips will make the final cut? Or is there still time to change things up with what songs they'll use.

Well, in the news sections, or possibly Steve's latest update, I forget which, the band thinks they've finished the album, so there is little likelihood it will be altered at this point. The promosquad might have been for singles.

Well, from the holiday greeting, if that list is any indication, "Angels" (once Holy Ghost), "Future" (once Don't Ask Why), "Picture", "Don't Stop" and "World on a String" will be on the album.

They were playing "Best Day" during it, but there was no mention of it on the list. "Wipe" was nowhere to be found.

I can do without both "Wipe" and "Best Day", and I like the other 5, and I can respect them taking a risk with "World on a String".

We have not heard from "End of the World", "Weight of the Lord", "Save Yourself", "Love & Trust", "Walking in Circles", or "Apology" yet.

what i think happened is somebody with access to the album got pissed about the delays and decided to leak it. especially given that this all happened a day or two after they backed up the release date to july.

i was wondering that too, but i don't see sony doing this purposefully if the album isn't coming out for another four months.

especially with the band saying that they don't want it leaked.

But, I'm kind of concerned at why so many clips would be on an audience test player dealie, especially where most of them were to-be-released singles. Makes me wonder if someone in a big office is contemplating not releasing the album. :uhh:

I might just be paranoid, though. Just maybe. :eek:
