Grad Dresses (or prom for you yanks)

Post by thirdhour »

For once, I have become a girl. And i'm a gonna wear a dress and everything! However, I don't have much experience in the female department, so I need help. I have no idea what kind of dress I want, but I want it to be special and stand out. Any ideas, my fellow fems?
Or, if it pleases you, show me pictures of you and your friends being hot in your dresses. :yannic:

I am very white with red-ish hair. As for shape, pretty average, I guess. Not crazily scarwny, but I've got me some boobs and an ass. I don't know how to find dress sizes.

personally, i like to stay away from traditional poofy long gownish things, you can still look totally hot and feminine in something a bit off-kilter, you know.

Woah, the dress you're wearing is awesome! I want something with lace, but none of that cheesy taffeta lace. That one is really beautiful.

thanks, yeah i'm a big fan of embroidered lace, especially when it has a nice weight to it and drapes rather than sticks out at crazy angles.

I was leaning towards a deep green, though for some reason the store has dresses in every colour but green, so it's made it hard to try them on. I'm 5'4-ish. Very short legs. Ugh.

ooh you're my height!

You might want to consider something with a highish waist, not like empire though.

Also for the love of god don't buy shoes with those straps that go around your ankle. They make you look like a foot shorter.

And i approve a deep or emerald green

yeah, it's a betsey johnson, which, believe it or not, you can find semi-good deals on, but they're often pricey-esque.
