this would probably be true if we didn't all know that she's going to be found dead and alone in a hotel room one morning.

i wish Soundgarden would get back together for an album. Soundgarden is the father of almost all that happpened then, and even the crappy bands that have come after are because of them.

If there was no SG then there would have been no Pearl Jam, which means they're wouldn't be all these Vedder ripoff's running around. Soundgarden and Pearl Jam need to put Creed and Nickleback in their place.

Very true. Soundgarden had a lot to do with it. Here's something interesting for those who would like to know about some grunge history, it's not about Soundgarden, as the obviously formed in 1984, but a biography page about Temple of The Dog.

http://www.reachdown.com/history.shtml

"It was initially my idea because of a couple of songs I recorded," Chris [Cornell] explains, "but the idea was mainly to do a single as opposed to a whole record. And the thing was, the rest of the guys in Temple, they sort of thought, well, maybe we should make it a little bit longer project, like an EP or something. The more we talked about it, the more songs kept flying out, and it ended up being an album. It didn't feel like a morose project. It felt sort of celebratory." - Reflex magazine, 12/91

Pearl Jam
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Yeah Neil Young and Soundgarden are Father and Mother of grunge, i guess ome people consider AIC one too, but i don't think they really started "real"grunge.
