I agree with you in a sense, but I think they should maybe vary it up if they're doing shows in the same vacinity. Let's say they theoretically did Toronto, Hamilton, Buffalo, and Rochester in a week. I would think that they would be willing to change things up just a tad for the people who can easily go to 3 of the 4 shows. Even if it's only a song or two.

Another problem I have is when they play the same town twice in a tour and they play the same set each time.

I know not everyone is Matt Good, but on his last tour he rotated about 25 songs into a 16 song set, including a couple nights where he played without a setlist. for a band like OLP who prides itself as a "live band" you would think they would have the capability rotate some songs here and there.

She makes syrup-y stuff for putting on pancakes.

Not only that, but you hear a lot of bands talking about how a tour can get stale after playing the same songs every night. Maybe some bands just look at it as part of the job and do it anyway, but it takes the passion out of what they're doing for a lot of bands too.

As much as i would like to see some selist variety....i think the reasoning is that they have a lighting part all set up for the show that would have to be changed if they played different songs
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

I would assume that as a rock band and not britney spears, they don't have to be spot on with the choreography of the lights. I'm sure the techie guy has a few presets that he can trun on at appropriate times, but by no means would they need to be done in a specific order.

A lot of the lighting is done manually also, of course they have programmed sets for certain performances.

Also, wouldn't it be awesome if Bob Rock played on stage with them this tour? You know, keyboards, rhythm guitar etc...

I could open a thread for that, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of wanting him to play live with them?
