Holiday Greeting Song

On the hoilday greating, what song where the guys playing and does anyone have the lyrics for it?

The song's called Best Day and apparently no longer sounds anything like it did when the greeting was recorded.

And I haven't seen any lyrics around.

Someone typed out Liar (I think it was Lydia) but I don't remember any Best Day lyrics. But that might just be my age

it wasn't on the sheet thing, so that would lead me to believe that it might not be on the album.

also, do you guys think that this was the song they were working on in the DVD? because it seemed like they were working on a transition for a song, so they could go from something soft to something loud and trying to figure it out and in the song, they kinda skipped the transition part with raine talking, jeremy just kicked into a slighlty different drum beat.

I meant to say that teh song "Best Day" was not on the song sheet in the Holiday Greeting which would lead me to believe that it may be cut from the album.
Also, in the live DVD. There is a part where the band's in the rehersal space and they're working on a song. Where Steve jokes about the chords he has to play.
And Raine goes: "Boom-ba-down, boop-ba-down." That part sounded like they were trying to bridge together two different parts of a song. As though it starts off slow and turns fast later on. In the Holiday Greeting song, they just kind of went from this slow mellow song to a kind of fast paced one with no transition or bridge.
This leads me to think that prehaps it could be the same song without a proper bridge worked out.

...maybe i'm reading into it too much haha

Therefore the first part of what you're saying is kind of silly.

I don't remember the DVD bit so I can't comment on that.

Maybe they just stopped working on it, or it didn't fit with what they thought the album should be, and this was one of their "alternate" ways to get the music out.
