Profile update escape string problem.

When updating your profile, if there is an error (such as a signature that's too long), the strings that are placed back into the fields aren't the original strings, but escaped strings.

Thus, if you put this as your Custom Title:
"I don't care about escaping strings."

and you try to submit it, but it fails for whatever reason, the text that is placed back into the Custom Title field will be:

"I don\'t care about escaping strings."

There should be an unescape function that can be used when placing the strings back into the fields after a failed attempt to update your profile.

Go ahead, edit the board's php. Cos lord knows *I* have no idea how to do it... and I don't feel like teaching myself just to fix that little bug.

Anyway yeah, I noticed a bunch of backslashes in someone's avatar so I decided to find the problem.

Yep. Think I've seen it before, though, so either other people have had similar problems or I've just noticed his multiple times now.

Well, if they follow all the rules and restrictions when they update their profile it isn't a problem. But nope, it's a code problem.

What would be really fun is if someone with a special character in their username accidentally changed it like this, and then they could never log in again because they didn't know their username. :nod:
