Sorry Yannic :( My cousin, who is 15, and perfect (or so we thought) drank a liter of wine and tried to kill herself on Thanksgiving. I can't figure it out.

I think she meant that under the effects of the wine, she tried to kill herself (through some other means)

No...unless I misunderstood my Grandma. She drank enough, on purpose, to try and kill herself. The girl weighs 100 lbs and has probably drank little to none in the past. Whatever it was, she did it on purpose. I shall find out.

Try to talk to her about it.

I don't think that would work, since she's in the hospital and since I'm sort of distant family...I doubt they'd let me in or I'd even be welcome. Her family is sort of embarassed by it I believe.

It can be embarresing though. Alot of people don't want to talk about it when something like that happens. I know the feeling.

But i think that things that have happened in my own past could have been avoided if talking had of happened.

Ofcourse i kept everything internalized, so.. maybe not.. But atleast to know someone is there to talk. Its hard to talk, but worth it.

I think I realized that I don't know know anything. I don't even know what it is that I'm supposed to be knowing. Her twin sister is...amazing. It's almost as if somehow the dark half of the two of them died, and the hyper-active part of them is now alive in her.

She's exactly the same as she always was...maybe it hasn't truly hit her yet, or she doesn't know what to do, I just don't know. I watch her now, and I can't believe that she would EVER do something like that, but yet I was never able to seperate the two of them in my mind.

I just don't fucking belive she could do it. But weirdly enough, it's not like other deaths where I can't belive the person is truly gone, mostly because it's like I just haven't seen them for awhile. But because I see her identical twin on a daily basis, I'm sturdy in my mind that she's gone.

thats not always easy for people around someone who was depressed or suicidal. i know this firsthand. was depressed. then suicidal. then survivor through mistake.
and they made me so ashamed i have trouble talking about it.
so now im in therapy. for things i cant even say. cuz all i hear is how im a horrible inconsiderate person for what i did. *shrug*

Aww, I'm sorry. I wish people didn't do things like that. They must have no clue or they'd never say anything like that.
