The Februarys

Post by I AM ME »

I found this bands demo on Matt's site. I can't get enough of it. I woudl suggest it to everyone, i think Axtech might like it too.
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

"Hold on, hold on children, your mother and father are leaving, hold on, hold on children your best freind's parents are leaving, leaving,.......*AHHH*! " - Death From Above - Black History Month

their debut ep in now available online

http://cdn.scratchrecords.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=46020

Debut EP from Vancouver quartet with loyal local following and growing national interest. Think Radiohead, Wilco, emotional but not EMO. Opening band of choice for Tegan & Sara, local heroes Limblifter and rock star/philosopher Matt Good who said in a recent Chart magazine “holy shit, these guys are good”. Since he has told us on several occasions he know more than we do, who are we to argue.

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

I found False Hours and Plight of the Artist on their website.

Is there somewhere that I can get some more tracks to check out? False Hours is damn cool, and I want to hear some more (preferably better audio quality than the free ones on their site).

There's another song called As It Were and in my opinioin it's their best peice of work out of the three songs.

If you want I can send it to you through msn. Just pm me and I'll add you to my contacts list. Be warned though, I have dial up.
