Superman Decision on : Superman Returns
For you out there , super hero fans, what do you think of the decision of Bryan Singer *Director* to cast superman as : Brandon Routh . Presonally I have no idea who that guy is, never saw any work he'S done and I really wanted Tom Welling to be cast in this role. I hope to hear your opinions!!!

I prefer Tom Welling, but let's see what Brandon Routh can do!

I don't see Jude being a good luthor. He's a good actor... but I dunno, bout him for luthor...
If Routh sucks, then the movie will flop, then they'll know they made a mistake. Either way the movie will make money, if it had Welling, maybe even more initial box office sales because he's known.
Also, Singer had a lot of help writing and putting together X-men, so if he has good help, then he could do a good job. The X-men movies are directed really really well, if you pay attention to the actual direction. Even if you hate the movie's plot or whatever, pay attention to how it's done and it's done well.

Well, Jude is for sure a weird choice to play this criminal mastermind. Rosenbaum really did an awesome job on that.
About Brian now, this director might have tried some interesting stuff with X Men but it did not impress me much, neither some actors of these two films. I really think there is a lot of room for improvement in these two flicks. I was very worry when I have learned tht he would direct it, question is, how respectfull is he going to try to be this time? Last time, he really wasn't paying much respect with the x-men, changing so much details did not help to his cause in my opinion.

It wasn't necessarily Singer who made all the changes. His hands were tied for a lot of the screenplay aspects after the final was submitted. If you watch how he does a lot of his visual direction though, he captures things in a really great way.
The X-Men movies did lack a lot of stuff and were changed and I didn't like that, but visually, he directed them well.

About the decision:
New interview with Superman director Bryan Singer about how he cast Brandon Routh in the title role. Here's a clip:
When you're casting a film of this size, you've got to look at three things. First, talent. Second, does he look like the guy and have the physical presence -- if Brandon walked into your office, you'd step back and say, 'Oh my God, it's Superman.' And third, you have to find a personality who can contend with all the rigors involved in making a show you're going to shoot for five months, with a lot of stunts and visual effects. That's a lot of work. A lot of work. Brandon had all three qualities.
Also, on Lex:
While doing interviews for "Beyond the Sea," Kevin Spacey addressed the rumor he is up for Lex Luthor in director Bryan Singer's Superman .
They want me to do it, but it's just a question of timing and scheduling. I've got the things I'm doing with the Old Vic [theatre], but I'd love to work with Brian Singer again. You do those kinds of movies because they allow you to do these."
That is two interesting things to read.

Lois
This is an interesting news to add :
Whilst Singer has found his Superman the search for Lois Lane is on and it is proving a little tricky. Sources inform us that many actresses are hesitant to take the role for fear of being typecast and playing second fiddle to Brandon Routh’s Superman.
Evangeline Lilly looks to be out of the running, her commitment to Lost effectively ruling her out. The studio is looking to put a more familiar face opposite Routh’s Superman. A lesser known actress may not be an option. The actress cast will be the one who has the best onscreen chemistry with Routh. Kate Bosworth, Elisha Cuthbert and Claire Danes are apparently the ones to watch.
Who would you think could make the best Lois if you would have the choice beetween any actresses?!!?
