Christmas / Winter Tour???

Post by Flea21212 »

About a month ago it was mentioned on OLP.cc that OLP might be doing a winter tour. If this was so then I'd think we'd start hearing something soon.

However, since so little has happend in the past year I'd doubt they'll even do one.

Has anyone else heard anything more on this?

.cc put that in because raine went on a cleveland radio station and said that he would like to tour before March, around Christmas-time. other than that, i don't think that we've heard too much about it, unless i'm completely out of the loop

Now, see you've got it all mixed up.

Raine is working on his solo album and Jeremy and Duncan hooked up with Mike to do a thing on the side aswell. They are gonna support that for a couple of years and Steve is gonna release a solo record of his own that will essentially go unnoticed, but will sell to the hardcore Mazurites. When Raine ends his tour with Beyonce all the boys are gonna hook up again to be the "New" Our Lady Peace, hitting the road on a reunion tour. After many drug problems and alcoholic accusations, they will split up. Then in 10 years time an oppertunity will arise for the band to come together for one final show on VH1. After the Mike vs. Steve guitar battle, the band will play a half hour set for the television special and go their own special ways.

(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Yes they are. They're playing a show in my house next week :O

And they promised to play Stealing Babies and Blister and any other song I ask them to play :D
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

ya there won't be anything until the new album is released. OLP.cc doesn't know much really. What they know is what we know, and we usually know it days before they do.

Do you honestly think the band would want to tour over the x-mas holiday? Think about it... it will be Raine and Chantal's child's first x-mas. Not to mention Duncan has children as well. It would be stupid to not tour all year and then decide to tour over the x-mas holiday when they should be with family.

Unless dates are announced for a tour I would not believe any speculation you hear.

I at least think soon we'll start to hear stuff.

Apparently OLP is in the studio now for the finishing touches, so we might hear an album title, maybe some clips soon, etc.

the only thing i could see happening (and this is very unlikely) is them playing maybe one show at a big venue (ie the acc) before the holidays, but no tour. like jim said, they are just too busy with other things in their personal lives right now to have a full out tour.

My guess is.....if the march rumors are true...that once a single is released, they will tour to support it and the new album....which means, dont look forward to OLP touring before march....sucks, but its true

maybe not a major tour, but i think that they'll do a few mini tours to promote the new CD. it doesn't make sense to release a follow up CD which could potentially create a foot-hold in a a new market for you and then just sit back and do nothing about it.
but then again if the CD comes out in Feb. 2006 then maybe there's a chance that your prediction will come true :(

They already have a huge market in Canada. It'll sell here if they tour or not. They've already tried to break into the states and I think it's become really apparent that they will never be anything but a b-list band down there.
