Girl: Does he see me? Does he even know that I'm close by?
Guy: We're in the hallway, always at half past nine.
Girl: Would he ever get to know me? Would he take the time?

ok how about this... what size is considered average?

Unfortunately, most of the guys that think like that are overpowered by the thoughts of their "little guy". heh
On a serious note though, appearances do come into play as well. For me, a beautiful mind is more important than a beautiful body. But, physical beauty does play a part in overall attraction. It's not the deciding factor by a long shot, but it is something that is naturally part of the "equation", if you will.

I have to agree with you Rob in the fact that physical attraction is necessary but physical attraction doesn't always mean she has to be "hot" according to people. All that matters is that you're attracted to her, not what society or friends or people think. If physical attraction wasn't taken into account you'd just basically have a friendship.

Well this wasn't really meant to be "girls don't want fat guys either!" discussion. We all knew that, I was just wondering what their perception was based on pant size. Obviously, you guys are clueless Obviously guys in Utah are much more shallow.
a 30? I'm a 34 and I'm by no means out of shape. 32-34 is pretty average I'd say.
and Jon they go by inches in Canada as well on guys pant sizes.

ya looks are good at night but the next morning when you ask her if she was smart enough to vote for you you could be in trouble.

it was supposed to be a Bill Clinton joke but I dunno if it worked. I thought it was funny in my head...

Someone mentioned seeing the ribs on skinny women. That is pretty gross actually. It's sad the way society tries to decide what should be the standard for everything. It totally takes away from people's freedom to decide what's right for them personally. It's like stripping our right of freedom in a twisted indirect way. However, a lot of what society portrays is what the majority agrees with. The dilemma therein is whether the majority is influenced to agree on what the standard is, or if the people uniquely themselves decide what society as a whole sets as a standard, and then as such presents it.
Personally, intelligence, the social aspect, the spiritual connection is the key part to attraction. Sharing common interests then leads to forming a bond with that person.
A lot of people find Paris Hilton to be hot. I personally cannot stand her. She has got to be one of the stupidest people I've ever seen and that is a major turn off. She's also overly skinny in my opinion. I could probably throw her into a tree with one arm if she were wanting to rescue that stupid dog of hers. Oh wait... That's cats that climb trees... But yeah, I think you all understand what I'm trying to say.
I think that my personality however also influences my decision. Maybe a lot of really stupid guys out there find Paris Hilton attractive because they can connect on that sub-par intelligence level. So to them she's attractive and they can carry on a conversation about the colour blue for 13 hours straight. I'm sure there are guys who aren't stupid who also thinks she's attractive, but as Rob said, most guys are usually just thinking with the wrong head.
