THE QUESTIONS THEY ALWAYS FUCKING ASK!

------CHARACTER CREATION/SETUP INFORMATION-------

Q: What are the minimum specs for this truly wonderful game?
A: The minimum system requirements for World of Warcraft, from www.worldofwarcraft.com

- 800 Mhz or higher CPU.
- 256 Megabytes or more of RAM.
- GeForce 2 graphics card or better.
- 3 Gigabytes or more of available hard drive space.
- DirectX® 9.0 or above.

Note that this system would probably run WoW at 10-15 FPS on minimum settings in 800x600, so my personal recommendations for a average play would be:

- 1.6 Ghz or higher CPU.
- 512+ RAM.
- 128MB graphics card or better; preferably 128-bit.
- DirectX® 9.0c or above.

Q: How do I get the client?
A: Go to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com and click Download World of Warcraft on the right
++++ If you'd go gay for Bittorrent. http://65.98.42.2:32289/
+++++If you registered for Fileplanet: http://www.fileplanet.com/_dlmgr.as...com:28900/&v=44 (RECOMMENDED!)

Q: I keep getting a File Corrupt error with the Fileplanet .zip. What do I do?
A: Use the latest version of Winzip or use Windows XP's built in unzipper. Do NOT use Winrar or an old version of Winzip to extract it.

Q: I’m brand new, how do I play?
A: Read this: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/

Q: What class should I be for ______ race?
A: It doesn't matter, just pick what you think is the coolest. The extremely minor difference in stats means nothing overall.

Q: When should I start a profession?
A: As soon as you can afford to train in it! The longer you wait, the more of a hassle it's going to be going back through zones you've already outgrown looking for herbs to increase your skill.

--CLASSES--
(click the name for more information)

Druid – What is a Druid? A little bit of everything. The standard form of a Druid is an above-average healer with one of the best buffs in the game (Mark of the Wild). Druids can shapeshift into other forms, the bear, cat, travel form, and aquatic form. If your group needs a tank, just transform into the bear. If your group needs more damage, simply shapeshift into a cat and tear away at your enemy. If you’re lost at what class you want to play, become a Druid.

Hunter – Hunters are the more well known pet class, and are adept at ranged combat as well as fighting beasts. Hunters are the ideal class if you're into guns, bows, and the like. They can fire these weapons much faster than other classes and have a variety of abilities that can add on a very generous amount of extra damage. Hunters can tame nearly any kind of beast throughout the world, so they have a wider selection of pets than the Warlock does. When in a group, the Hunter excels at "pulling" monsters with their various traps and debuffs.

Mage – A high damage output spell caster. Mages can deal out a lot of damage while still being able to use a wide variety of utility spells like frost nova (ae root/damage) and summoning food/water for themselves and their group. Mages are recommended for anyone who likes to sit back and kill their enemy before they can even blink.

Priest – Priests aren’t played very often. They’re the most powerful healers in the games and are one of the two classes that can resurrect fallen players. They are the ultimate support class, so don’t go into it unless you really love healing players. Priests are also good at soloing as of now.

Rogue – The highest DPS class out there. No messing around, rogues are fast and furious with their constant barrage of high damage attacks. They use a combo system with increasing damage for flashy moves. Rogues are also known for their stealth capabilities of sneaking around and pick pocketing enemies and backstabbing foes.

Shaman – Shamans have nice variety of both healing and support spells, and can substitute for a priest when needed. They’re well known for the powerful totems they drop that provide AE buffs to allies or give damage to enemies. Shamans can also tank in a pinch. Become one if you wish to have a nice mix of healing and support abilities.

Warlock – Warlocks are one of the two pet classes, and have some of the most unique spells in the game. Closely resembling a Necromancer from EverQuest, you’re given a lot of DoTs and pets to summon. Warlocks are sought after in groups for their damage output abilities.

Warrior – Utilizing multiple stances, the warrior is the perfect tank and meat shield. They have a high HP and a wide arsenal of weapons at their disposal. Be a warrior if you want to be the big badass in the group.

---PROFESSIONS---
(click for more information)

Professions are divided into two catagories: gathering and crafting. You can have one gathering skill and one crafting.

Gathering

Herbalism- For anyone who wants to do Alchemy. You basically go around and pick up flowers to use in the two skills, or to give to that special lady.

Mining - Used to gather ore from mineral veins in rocky areas. The ore is then used in both Mining and Engineering.

Skinning - Seen as a big money maker, skinning is made for leatherworking, but tough enough for a steady income.

Crafting

Alchemy - Alchemy is used to create various potions, ranging from healing potions to potions that make you grow 20% larger than your original size for 20 minutes.

Blacksmithing - Great for the melee classes among you, blacksmithing is used to create armor and weapons using ore gathered from mining. This eventually branches off into either Armorcrafting or Weaponscrafting at high levels of skill.

Engineering - Engineering has recently become one of the more popular tradeskills. With it, you can make bombs, dynamite, exploding sheep, goggles, and even a rocket gun. Definitly very strange, but it's a fun tradeskill.

Leatherworking - Leatherworking makes use of the leather gathered from skinning, and can create very sought after armor later on in the profession.

Tailoring - Tailoring creates cloth items such as robes and light but comfortable pants that the casting classes use.

Enchanting - One of the most unique tradeskills, enchanting adds bonus stats to items by extracting the magical properties from uncommon items and then applying them to other equipment.

Other Professions

Cooking- Cooking is a very useful secondary skill. Not only will you be able to decrease downtime at a more efficient rate per your level than vendor bought food, you will be able to save your money for more important things such as spells and main attack/defense skills, mounts, items, etc. Down the line, buying food can become expensive. This will help offset the costs associated with food, and you will become self sufficient in this regard. There are many fun recipes for food and many different things you can make. See a cooking trainer at any major city for details, and save your meats early on from all creatures.

Fishing - Fishing not only serves as being able to catch food, but also items, tradeskill ingredients, and even quests. Place the fishing pole you buy in your main hand, and then fish using the fishing ability (do not click on the pole 56 times... this will have no effect). Make sure to train fishing as soon as you can. There are many different areas to fish. Some of the best newbie areas for the horde lands include Ratchet, ponds and lakes in Mulgore, a pond near the warrior trainers in Orgrimmar, and the undercity slime rivers inside the city itself. You may also purchase bait to use on your fishing pole to increase your skill at fishing temporarily. The more dangerous the area, the higher skill you need, and the better things you can catch. Fish are also a nice way to get meat for increasing your cooking skill. Most cooking vendors in major cities sell fish recipes to cook the fish you catch, and increase the healing power when you eat that particular dish.

First Aid - First Aid uses bandages which you can make, and use on other people for instant healing power. The higher you level this skill, the more you can heal with higher quality bandages becoming usable after you reach a particular skill level.

--WTB WTS LFG RFK SFK WC WTF?--

Like all MMO's there are now acronyms for everything. Here's a quick and dirty list of most of the common ones and their meanings.

WTB/WTS: want to buy/sell: Commonly heard in the trade channel.
LFG/LFM: looking for group/looking for more: Commonly heard in the general channel.
UC/Org/TB: Big city locations, Undercity, Orgrimmar and Thunder Bluff Instance terms
RFC: Ragefire Chasm, located in Orgrimmar
WC: Wailing Caverns, located in The Barrens
SFK: Shadowfang Keep, located in Silverpine Forest
Gnomer: Gnomeregon, located in some crazy Gnome world
RFK: Razorfen Kraul, located in South Barrens
RFD: Razorfen Downs, located just across from RFK
SM: Scarlet Monastary, located in Tirisfal Glades
SM has many instances in one location. There is the Graveyard,
Library, Armory, and Cathedral. Each is harder than the one listed
before it.
Ulda: Uldaman (no real abbreviation here), located in Badlands
ZF: Zul'Farrak, located in Tanaris
ST: Sunken Temple, located in Swamp of Sorrows
BRD: Blackrock Depths, located in Blackrock Mountain (between Searing
Gorge and Burning Steppes)
BRS: Blackrock Spire, located across and then up from BRD
SH: Stratholme (or just "strat"), located in Eastern Plaguelands
Scholo: Scholomance, located in Western Plaguelands

Q: When people talk about looting, they often say something about BoE, BoP. What are they talking about?
A: There are three types of items in terms of looting. A majority of items in the game are tradable. This means that any tradable item you pick up can later be transferred to someone else. BoE is short for "bind on equip." This means that the item becomes untradable once you equip it. BoP stands for "bind on pickup." Once you loot a BoP item, it's yours forever, even if you can't use it. One must use caution when coming across a BoP item. If you loot a BoP item without first rolling on it, or didn't get specific permission from your group to loot it, you're likely to be labled as a ninja looter and blacklisted from future groups and/or raids. Ninja looting shouldn't be something to worry about in the future due to the new looting rules.

The End

Go have fun!

Sex, Campbell. You need sex.

As far as Warcraft, I liked the original. Silly grunts "Ok boss, ready to work" Haha, old school.

Sand your grandchildren are gonna be dead before it finishes downloading.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever
