To be honest, I think Mike was the one most enthuastic about the online fan community. Not that any of the other guys are jerks that don't want to talk to us, but it doesn't seem like their thing.
If Maida produced an album, doesn't that require at least a basic knowledge of technology as well? I don't think they are technology illiterate, that just doesn't make sense. Its pretty hard to find someone these days (excluding your parents because they don't count) that doesn't have a basic understanding of personal computers. My dad still uses the columbus method of typing, yet he manages to work ebay.
In conclusion, Coutts = teh shiznit.

yeah it's close to impossible today to produce without using modern technology. especially if you're doing it at home, using the oldschol analog methods can get pretty costly....but then again the white stripes did it with elephant, but it wasn't at home
Anyway, getting back to the topic... it's really cool that Jer's sharing his thoughts with us like this. I really hope we get more of these in the future.

i just finished readng the third part, and i am truely touched. it seems as though he has experienced an epifany. it's almost beautiful, way to go jer! it's never to face an addiction. its inspirational...
