It doesn't take much to slow down a song. It can take one rehearsal to say "hey that sounds cool."
If anything I probably have some of the lowest faith in the band on this board, so if I think that this is possible then hey you never know.
The fact is they combine songs and add various things to others during every tour and I fail to see the difficulty in slowing down a song they could probably play with their hands behgind their backs.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

meddling with SD seems in poor taste however..........like on Rich and Shelley's...........requesting that SD get played as a dedication when Reeve died almost seemed like a gimmick. I wish people would just not associate the song with the man's death. Just let him rest.
I agree with you there. The song doesn't need to be a dedication to Reeve. It's a kind gesture but not necessary. I would not be surprised if the song changed a bit just because it was time for a change, without taking Reeve's death into account.

The song doesn't have to be about him at all. It could just be a cool new way of playing a song. The piano version of Julia is great. I think toying with the music of a song or two would be neat.

I don't see the connection to him personally... but some people do... so for those people, it'd be a nice gesture... and for the rest of us, it'd just be a cool treat.

that's all I meant. The song aspect is good. I'm just a stickler when it comes to remembering people with catch phrases and stuff. Some artists end up looking like total jackasses with weird ways of remebering people.
Despite this...the lyrics of Superman's Dead happen to fit Reeve quite well. He was a stand up guy and was a super man of sorts. The death of that ideal however would be sad to see in a song that is remarking how those ideals are lost. Just a bad message.............when really he gave a lot more inspiration in his passing.
