maria's horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day

Post by dream in japanese »

and it's only 10AM!

i've been running on probably about 3 hours of sleep for the past few day, so i wake up this morning at 6am..barely awake, with the inability to breathe and barely talk. i put on like a trillion layers of clothes cause it's sooo cold and then manage to stumble out of my house. i slept the whole on the subway because of my inability to keep my eyes open. finally some how make it to school. go to the computer lab to check my e-mail and i get this:
Hi,
Class will be canceled today. I will try and send an email later announcing any paper pick-up times for tomorrow.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Theresa

INCONVENIENCE...HA...grrrrrrrrrrr...so i'm already at damn school and my next class after that isn't till 2pm!! and i'm not gonna go home cause i live over an hour away....and i sooo could of slept in like an extra 5555 hours but noooo... and to top all of this off i was already having a super awful week. pretty much everyone i know has decided to be mad at me for no apparent reason. i had the worst music mid-term ever. it was sooo brutal and stressed me out and i nearly broke down crying in the middle of it. the only thing cheering me up right now are my super cool mittens. blah.

i need some sympathy here!!!

*gives sympathy*
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

I suggest you play "Walking On Sunshine", or at least hum it to yourself. It will make you feel better!

I'm walking on sunshine! Ohhhohhh! And it's starting to feel GOOD! HEY! Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo! HEY!

umm you have time to kill why not do something productive as in work out, or catch up on work, or something. No sense complaining, it doesn't do anything to better the situation.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

or you can think of me as an optimist in this case.

Well rather than offer sympathy I've decided to offer some ideas for better her situation which is so much better than sympathy.

and the wonderful day continues....

I know many of you won't get this in time, and I apologize. I will have
to cancel today's classes, I just found out. If we have to, we can move
the test to Nov. 15, but I'll let you know next week.

I enjoyed the classes on Monday, so I am very disappointed I can't make
it. We'll use all three hours for the next few weeks, so bring food and
drink (non-alcoholic!).

Thanks.

L. Buchanan

WTF!!! I could of stayed home allll day today :cuss:

It works for me. Gives me a lot more energy, and generally takes my mind off of things when I can focus on something. But whatever, only trying to help out, despite the fact I got shit on in this thread by your and Alex.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
