I would like to see another album, should it be up to their pre gravity calibre. However, should it be another attempt at mainstream fame, no thanks. They can just get on with their lives and do other things.

If this album doesnt deliver the good olpness that the fans want, I think it will be time for them to fold up the shop.

I wouldn't mind seeing another album along the same lines as gravity. *runs*

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Snipers get him.

Gravity was pathetic at best and frankly, if anything close to gravity is produced again it will solidify the fact that I've outgrown OLP.

*shakes fist

seriously guys let's please not get into another gravity argument. i don't think that this cd (like any of their other cds) will sound like the cds that they have released in the past. look at their track record. so you gravity-lovers and haters don't need to argue.

do u guys think that raine going to sudan will slow down the release of the cd?

Heh, gravity was the album that got me into OLP actually, but like it was already said, it looks like the new cd is gonna be like the older ones. Either way I'll be happy with it.

Unless Raine is selling each cd individually himself I don't think it will...

Well, it's not like Gravity was a mega-success for OLP anyway. Clumsy is still their biggest album and their most recognizable. As said numerous times before, if they sold out, they sure did a horrible job at it.

They were already famous in Canada, and they still aren't famous in most of the US.

People recognize "Somewhere Out There", but many don't know who performs it. Even if a person knows of the name OLP, they are still "That one band with that one song" to most people down here.

This stuff leads me to believe that even if people don't like their new stuff (and let's be frank, some people don't), they are still doing it to be fresh to themselves, and that they really do enjoy it.

id say Gravity is actually their more recognisable album worldwide. theres been a new shift into rock music around the world. its taking over and SOT and Innocent were part of it.

Yeah, i think its going back to a Clumsy/Happiness kinda era sounding style. nothing like SM, that was mind blowing, i dont think they an out-do SM personally. id be very proud if i were them. its incredible... Clumsy too

this new one will be amazing (i hope), we'll all be very happy with it.

The point isn't that "it's bad they're being played on the radio!". It's that the band has changed their sound from intelligent, original music ... to the same crap every other band has playing on the radio. The term "radio friendly" is used negatively because the general radio audience is looking for simple, catchy tunes. In other words, pop music. The band changed their sound to something (in the opinion of those speaking of it negatively, at least) much less than it used to be.
