Actually, somebody told me that the programer of warcraft mispelled owned and whenever somebody got killed or something the word pwned would pop up. So now people use pwned as a joke i guess.

oh yeah! I forgot about that.

Still, plenty of e-kids do that accidentally.

Anyways, "teh" and "!!!!1" are still e-kid typos.

Correct you are sir. As far as 1337 or l337 speak goes, it arose from hackers and eventually made it into the gaming community. I'm pretty sure Starsiege Tribes community was the first to widely use it.

Oh by the way... all your base belong to us.

I did up untill they introduced the "wire frame barrier that tells you you are exiting the map" patch. Which was quite awile ago. I dont like to toot my own horn but I was quite good at Tribes 2. Toot, toot.
