Screen savers suck you don't want one, just set your computer to go to sleep mode or hibernate after like an hour or something it's better.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

okay, I think I have some sort of spyware on my computer because it's being annoying and slow. There are no pop-ups though.

I've run Ad-Aware twice and nothing has come up. And spybot wont work on this computer. So yeah, does anyone have any suggestions or any other good programs like spybot that I could use?

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

That's a lie!!! Well, the low quality part isn't. But you can play RealMedia in RealPlayer (blech), Real Alternative for Media Player Classic (my fav), or Winamp (with the correct plugin).

I don't even have RealPlayer on my computer, and as everyone on the hub knows... I'm a multimedia queen.

I have a huge sound problem.

I went away for a month, came back and now my sound is completely gone. I've been trying to fix my sound all week but havnt figured it out. Its definetely not a speaker problem but rather a sound card or windows 98se problem. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling my sound drivers, i've tried reinstalling windows media, i've reinstalled directx sound, and i've even went into my registery and checked my sound settings there. The problem is this. When I go check my driver status in my system menu it tells me everything is fine, but when I fire up any multimedia device it tells me it cant detect a sound card. My sound card definetely isnt gone because its integrated into my mother board. So whats my problem??? You tell me.

Seriously.. I need to know. If I cant solve it by tommorow i'm reinstalling windows. :(

You might need a whole new sound card. My computer did that too, and we needed to get a whole new sound card.

A new sound card would mean I would need a new motherboard.

Have you thought of taking it in somewhere and asking them what to do?

I've never had anyone do any work on my computer for me and i'm not about to start. If worse comes to worse i'll just reinstall windows which is a lot better than spending money on some tech guy.

You could always format it. Wipe it clean and then reinstall everything, just back your stuff up first.

FORMAT!!!!! Back up anything you want to keep and then format it, wipe it all clean it makes your computer so much better, i did it to mine and it runs like a dream now.

For Josh: it's possible to reinstall windows without formatting I did it somehow when I was trying to format my computer because it refused to format lol.
