Now I am going to New York.
See you all in a week again.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

Just don't come from August 30th -Sept 3rd.

Republican Convention then. It is all ready a nightmare. I am glad I only have to be here the 30th and 31st. I go to Orlando on the 1st. it will be a bitch cause I have to catch a train to the airport train in Penn Station which will be under heavy securtiy.
You should come around X-Mas time. I love it then. The Tree/rink at rock center. The huge snow flake over 5th Ave near The Plaza. The Nutcrakers in front of Paine Webber on 6th. The soliders on top of the RCMH Marquee that fall down when the cannon goes off. It is timed. The stories in Sachs 5th Ave and Lord and Taylors store windows. The Angels in Rock Center. I love NYC at X-Mas time. I just hate all the tourist, and crowds. Oh yeah and St Pat's.
We are in tourist season now till after New Years.
I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

YOu will get here eventually. You have to check out the guitar center they opened up on 14th street. It is big. I don't know if the one here or LA is bigger.

eventually they will put up buildings. I think by 2010 or something like that., They had contest for designers to come up with ideas. It is a very sensitive thing. YOu have to build because it was a major income source to NYC. You also mus thave some kind of memorial for those who lost their lives that day. It took me avery long time before I can go there with out getting upset. I use to work in the area alot. Even in the Twin Towers.
I still can't believe they are gone.

wow seeing those pics is just eerie to me. about a year after 9/11 i developed my pics from our vacation in august. and i had so many pics from inside the towers, pics of the towers from the statue of liberty. it was really eerie. seeing those pics gave me the same feeling as when i got my photos developed. weird

When I was there in 2002. Very very haunting. Anything TT related that I saw in 2002 moved me quite a lot. By the time I saw it, the last piece of rubble was jsut being removed. I can't really explain the feelings
Also... NYE in NYC was not one of my favoured events. Too crowded and not a lot to do except stand and wait.

Gerri-
that is the way I want to remember the Towers. Not what is there now, or what was there before the cleared things away.
I still get choked up thinking about it. I don't think I will ever forget that day as long as I live. Not knowing about the plane crashes till a customer told me. Then turning on the radio and hearing the plane in Penn a nd DC going down. Seeing the dust from the Towers falling in the sky. I worked about 2 miles uptown at Port Authority. I was so scared thinking at any moment a bomb could go off in the tunnels. They locked down NYC so fast afterwards nothing was getting in or out.
I worked at Wall Street 3 days after the Towers Fell. it was so heartbreaking to me. I was upstairs getting lunch. There were military trucks carry debris from the site. I saw the debris. it was about 60-70 feet high. They still had the 5ft piece of tower up. It disgusted me how people were there across the street taking photos like in Disneyland or something. Seeing that. It is a miricle they found any bodies at all. This was 6 blocks from where the Towers stood. SO you can imagine how far the debris went.
I went with a co-worker last summer to the site. We said a prayer. They had people there selling stuff on the Towers. mostly photos of burning buliding and such. It really bothered me how people were making profits off something so tragic. If you go to the site now they have it fenced up around it. Looks like a construction site now. They put up the names of the people on plaques around the fences and photos of the Towers from building them to the last time they stood.
I worked under the Towers alot. It is still a bit hard for me to go there. I think it is that way for anyone who lives in the area and saw them everyday. It was a big part of the city. Whenever I came home and you flew over NYC. You always knew cause the Towers were the first thing you saw.
that being said- They really do need to put something back there. I think they should put 3 or 4 smaller bulidings and a memorial area so people who lost love ones can go and say a prayer or visit.
BTW. There were 2 other buildings that collapse there also. 7World Trade and part of the Hotel that was there.

Profitting from death eh? like government, like citizen.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.
Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown

I have never been to Mexico. Never really had a desire to go. I really should go one year. This way I can say I have been to every country in North America. Like there are so many here anyway.
