A question for the religious and non-religious alike.

My theory of god is this:
Waaaaaaaaaaaay way way back when, when people first started coming about (however they did that), they needed a system of law. Some sort of method to keep the peace. So they created the illusion of a 'God', and the 'Ten Commandments'. But after people got used to that, they again needed something to keep the peace. so they created the illusion of a Hell. And over time, religion developed in different ways to what it is now.
