We sang Wannabe. And we thought we sounded so good. I wish someone had recorded it, because I know I wasn't a good singer yet and I'm sure no one else was either.

so tell me what you wanna, wanna, I wanna zig a zig zag. Is that the lyrics.

I have to admit. Ithought SpiceWorld was amusing. I saw it on cable a few years back.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Yes, those are the lyrics.

For about two months, my sister watched Spiceworld every. single. day. It was crazy. I've seen it all the way through probably two or three times, and parts of it I have no idea how many times.

some parts of it were funny. Wasn't Alan Cummings in that movie? I remember Meatloaf was in it. Now you got me wanting to rent it or something.

I own it on VHS. I love that movie.

Cass wrote:I have Boyd's Bear collection. Only cute ones though, that have a theme. I'm not tacky, I swear!

Eee! Another Boyd's collector! I'm not so particular about mine, though. I only get ones I think are cute... but no theme. I've got probably hundreds... and I've been meaning to catalogue all of them for years now, but it's such a huge task I just haven't gotten to it. :freak: My Christmas gift last year from my grandparents and my aunt was the Noah's ark and all the animal pairs and stuff.

I love my Boyd's babies.

I totally forgot what this topic was

I  90's. I will say this though. The 90's was the one decade where you didn't know what would be in the top 40. It was very mixed. They have this program on the radio Sunday mornings here called Flashback It was the 80's till last year when it switched to the 90's. They play some of the big hits from then. There were alot of One Hit Wonders. Also alot of songs you are like :wtf: .

I still haven't seen VH1's complete series yet. I only saw 94-98

I have that one.

My mom gets me one for like every holiday. I think I've got all the holidays now...and then I have a Boyd's Bear family. It is my family, it's so cute. My mom always called my little sister a mouse, and my other little sister thinks she's a kittie  So I have one for each of them.

Thanks Cass. That is a cute bear.

I better not look at them. I love stuffed animals. I still want a Vermont Teddy Bear. I got a London Teddy Bear when I was in London a few years back. He is honey colored,. I put him in a Bomber Uniform. He has a Bomber Jacket, Hat, White Scarf and Aviator Glasses. It cost me 30 pounds(about $60 USA at time). I love it.

you spent $60 US on a bear??? holy crap

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

If it was a plain bear, yeah that is alot of money. Custom made bears are expensive. Vermont Teddy Bears are that much money also. They are handmade. Plus they are made to order.

I think it is because you are paying for the bears and outfits. I bought my friend a regular bear from London dressed as a Beefeater. It only cost me 4-5 pounds.

I will tell you like I tell everyone else. When you are in England, everything is more then in the USA because of exchange rates. I look at %, not exchange rate. For instance if you make 400 pounds a week and spend 50 pounds on food it is the same as if you make 400 dollars here and spend 50 dollars on food. I always go by if I would spend the amount in USA. If something was say 40 pounds in England, would I spend 40 dollars if I bought ssame thing at home. I don't go by exchange. Same with when I go to Canada. Just because our dollar is still somewhat straong in Canada, doesn't mean you are paying less.

look at people who spend money on the cabbage patch dolls, and the new AMerican Girl Dolls. Things like that are expensive. Everyone has their thing though. There are things I don't uinderstand how people spend what they do on them.

in all fairness i don't see the point in spending money on that either, but who am i to criticize i spend my money on video games and stuff, the point is buy what makes you happy, like now i'm going to try and save to go on a trip with my friend next summer if she was serious about inviting me

People always ask me how I can spend x amount of money to go to a concert. Unless it costs my arm or my leg, anything under $200 is worth to me to go see my favorite band. I can't fathom how my brother spends money on the things he does. It just doesn't make sense.

Oh man, Gail, don't look at much Boyd's stuff if you're into bears in outfits. Cutest stuff ever... I've blown hundreds of dollars at a time on Boyd's animals cos they're just so cute I can't put them down. :freak: The names are always really cute, too.

I think the worst one I bought as far as price goes was something like $30 for a smaller bear... but it was a limited edition hand-numbered bear, and he's made out of mohair. Let's see if I can find him online...

Aww, there he is.

Image

I've paid more than that for larger ones, I think, but he's only 10" tall, so $30's pretty hefty. (Oh yeah, and I don't tend to buy too many in outfits... so that affects the cost, too.)
