OLP & the UK

Post by dean.ashby »

Hi OLP fans!

I saw Our Lady Peace supporting the Stereophonics in Birmingham, England back at the end of 1999. The sound was pretty bad (the bass drum drowned out everything else) so most people I know wrote the band off.

I gave them a chance though and downloaded their 1st three albums on Napster (naughty I know!!) and I was blown away.

I since bought the albums from a record store in Calgary, Canada when I was on holiday in 2000 and I also bought Spiritual Machines when that came out which is now possibly my all time favourite album.

What I wanna know is if OLP plan on touring the UK again at any point as they seem to have given up after the One Many Army single flopped at the time of the Stereophonics tour!

Do you people think they will bother with the UK again?I'd love to see 'em live now that I know their songs better. Failing that, I'm on holiday in the States in July so I might be able to catch one of the US tour dates all being well.

Cheers,

Dean (a massive British OLP fan)

P.S. any more British fans on these boards?

There's a couple of British people here. I don't think OLP has any plans to come to Europe though, but hopefully they will, sometime.

Hey there Dean. I really hope that OLP tour over here sometime soon. Apparently Gravity is being released in Europe, so fingers crossed.
