I did grab his hat and throw it into the crowd. I refused to get it back, but I eventually gave up when it was obvious he wasn't budging.

I'm embarrassed by my behaviour. All that over a little piece of plastic.

Mike Eisenstein gave me a guitar pick after the in-store performance when Gravity came out, but I decided to be nice and gave it to Stephanie.

At the same show, I scored one of the uber-thick promo posters and got it signed by everyone in the band.

I scored a pick from Steve at the July 9, 2002 show in Cleveland. It landed on my foot, so I dropped to the ground and grabbed it. It's on my wall now. Earlier that day, I got a drumstick from Jeremy.

I got a drumstick from Jeremy at the Rochester, NY show on August 11 (I think). He walked up to me and dropped it in my hand because he saw my sign that said, "We came from Detroit to hear you play Blister" and they didn't come through in the clutch.

I got a setlist at the Sept. 18, 2002 show when a roadie just handed it to me. It was ripped and has footprints on it, but I got it. And it is nice.

I guess I'm ready to dismantle my OLP wall soon, so I'll probably just slap the shit on eBay and see if I can get any money back from all the shows I went to so I could get the stuff. We'll see though.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Did you ever get the Steve pick? I should have an extra one at home that I could send you. Unless you want to get it yourself.

It was funny cause at the Much Awards last year(2003) we were standing in front of Steve and after OLP did their 1/2 hour pre-show performance Steve tossed me his pick. Also the Guitar player from Michele Branch's band did also. These girls behind us were so mad. I heard them say to each other no fare she gets the picks. My friend laughed cause she said if they were flirting with the MB guy they would of gotten one too,. I was just talking to him from the audience during set up. Just like we were talking to the Avril guy( the one who left) who we call Shrimp Boy cause he had a shrimp tattoo on.. As fopr Steve, well if you traveled all over to see the band you get one too. Steve tossed out a bunch after they did Innocent.
It took me awhile to get Raine's pick. I had them, but gave tehm to people cause I was always going to an OLP show and could get another one. Wrong. I asked him for one. He gave me it at the Philly show(2002). He told me he put one in his pocket so he wouldn't forget. I put it on the ticket.

Nikki, now that I think about it I think I got one from AC also.

I am going to tell you guys a little sercret. ALot of times picks fall on the floor and people can't find them. After the show you sometimes get lucky in finding one. Also if GA show go up to stage and ask. Sometimes you luck out.

As for Drumsticks, it took me years to get one of Jeremy's. He handed it to me at the LUPOS show(2001) when he was walking off stage. I also got one at the Rock Hall Show for my friend. Her Birthday was the next week and he signed it for me. This kid offered me lots of money for it. I said unless your name is Erika, I don't think you want it.

I am still trying to get a Larry Mullin Jr drumstick. I finally got Matt Sorum(Velvet Revolver, G N' R, the Cult). It only took 13 years.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

No, I never got one. It's really really nice of you to offer one of yours, but it wouldn't be as exciting as actually getting one myself.

You know what I really want? A pick from The Edge. I'd put it on a necklace and only take it off when I shower.

I have an EDGE pick. I got U2 in 2001 when I saw them in concert. Thanks DALLAS(their guitar tech)

okay. I am going to give the Steve pick to someone else then.

Shameless jockeying for a guitar pick. Nice.

you are funny. Sorry, I promised it to someone else. If I get anymore I will give you one. Where were you in 2001-2002 where I was getting them at every show it seems.

any other bands you like. I am seeing Velvet Revolver soon. I want a Duff pick. I have to ask him to give me one. My friend and I are hoping to in front of him for that show.

Oh man, that reminds me of.... god... I forget what band it was. :freak: I wanna say Maroon 5. But anyway, I was front row and one of the guys threw a pick and it landed right near me on the ground... me and the girl next to me searched for that thing for at least 15 minutes. On the ground. Under the stage. Everywhere. Nobody else had gone for it... it just totally disappeared. :freak:

Itis possivble it bounced off your foot. That has happened to us alot. THat is why you seem to find them on the floor. They bounce. But now everyone looks after the show. YOu be suprised what you find after a show. anything from picks, money, to keys, cell phones shoes etc. I always wondered what they do with that stuff if nobody claims it within a certain amount of time.
