yeah, I'm so bored, I actually read the first couple of posts.
"if the nuremberg trials were applied to us foreign policy, every us president since 1945 would have been hanged." noam chomsky.
...and this is me hanging on / i'd burn our initials in the sun if it would shine / anxiety chokes me like razor wire / if hate's in your heart man, you'll take what you're given / wake up / i'm not the only one / it's never goodbye / go ahead and play dead / if everyone's a casualty, then take your time, there ain't no trouble / these wounds they will not heal / ambition can be a tricky thing / what the hell do i know about rape anyway? / this is not what i hoped for / ain't it so weird how it makes you a weapon / who will be there to tell me how stupid i am? / those living for death will die by their own hand / and it's me that I am spying on / pick up the pieces and live with the stars / hurry up and wait / things have never been so swell / they're always the ones who slowly drift / be great / ...and this is my world.
That's nothing new. There are loads of celebrity roleplaying games out there. The celebs are usually played as gay, because most players are into slash.

I find the whole real person slash thing disturbing... just cos someone's a celebrity doesn't mean they're not a real person... and can't stumble onto that online just like we did. Meh. Oh well.

Sure, they can stumble onto it. The chances are pretty small, but it happens. But I don't think that makes it disturbing. The players almost always have a lot of respect for the celebrity they're playing, and will close the journal if said celeb would request it.
Most of the time, journals with slash are also friends-only and plastered with disclaimers, so that everyone understands it's not real.
And finally, some celebrities are okay with it. A fan showed a manip foto of Merry and Pippin from Lord of the Rings to Dominic Monaghan, and he thought it was kinda cool.
what is all this slash and manip you speak of. It sounds kind of frightening to me and I would probably want to beat the hell out of the person running the journal if they were creating this dumb crap but perhaps thats just me.
slash = fanfiction with gay relationships.
manip = short for manipulation. The photo I mentioned was manipulated in photoshop, so that it looked as if Merry and Pippin were embracing eachother in a romantic way.
