The winning party has more seats than any other single party, but less seats than all other parties put together. It has less than half of the seats.
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

The Liberals have less than 50% of the seats, but they still have more than any other party.

which makes it harder for the party in power to pass bills and make decisions, it basically puts them on a shorter leash.

Its a terrible thing. Nothing ever gets accomplished. From what I gather everyone wants their own parties opinions here so much so that they never come to a consensus.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

not good enough for them too win though, and they're already in a good possition now. With the conservitives winning witha minority they would be locked out of law making

Give it at least 2 years. A few reasons.

First, the Bloc is willing to co-operate on an issue by issue basis. As long as the liberals can come up with something reasonable there is no reason the Bloc won't vote with the liberals. Really, all they need is a few bloc or tories to jump over to make the majority along with the NDP.

Second, under the new campaign financing, all of these parties don't have enough money to run another election. They've spent evert penny they have. It isn't feasible to have another election in 9 months, and all of the parties know that, or else it will be the quietest election in history, and not one of the leaders will be able to travel the country looking for support.

Third, there will be backlash against any party who forces another election. The people don't want to go to the poles again in a few months. If the parties don't try and find even ground with the liberals in some sort of compromise, we're going to find that should an election be forced upon the people, they'll ensure a majority government, more than likely in the liberal direction again.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

18 months is JUST enough time for me to be able to vote.
lol
so i'm hoping for 18 months
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

minority governments are great that way the government can't pass any stupid laws or bills, and we get to vote again in a couple months

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever
