yeah IME use a lot of unconvential timing aswell. It's hard to even pick the bright spot in the band. Jag obviously steals the spotlight in many cases esspecially on the old albums, but Chris has amazing drumming, Brian is unique and awesome, and bruce has some pretty cool bass

the other cool thing about IME is they actually do really good live shows. They all take it even further into huge musical pieces such as olp recently added, and Brian in most cases genuinly sounds great. As long as you liked him on the album. He doesn't even use a ear piece for lots of shows.
As for the band being broken up....no one knows, the site has been dead for awhile, and the bands last show definatly seemed like a "last" show. Now all we know is Jag is editing the video shot of it, producing bands, and sitting around with his new dog. The rest are unheard from. Offically it's just a hiatus. Although they don't have a record label.....which is why Raine needs to repaythe favor IME did them at the start of there careers and sign IME to Foundationn.
Oh yeah sum up of what the last concert actually had:

the ramaining songs not played and videotaped were played the night before at a secret show, and recorded for audio. Therefore there's going to be every song, rare or album, IME have ever created either in video or audio live by Brian.
The show was played in a college gym where the band set up in a circle in the middle with fans a sorrounding thema few feet away. The ticket price was $10! $10 for 4 hours of goodness and dvd history!!!!!!

I agree with that completely. I mean it's practically the only song on that album that has anything that resembles a somewhat normal "hit song" structure.
Still an awesome track though.
I'd like to add that IME is arguably the best live show around. Brian is insanely entertaining! I sure hope they do start to tour again someday..

it's basically up in the air, they didn't have enough to money to get it done by a company, so Jag is doing it himself with the editing equipment he has at home at the Mother's Hip. It maynot even be commercially released, it might just be offered online through the site. And no one really knows how long it will be because no one knows anything about the band right now. the site hasn't been updated since the were winning the Chart Magazine year end poll.....and ended up losing it anyways........to OLP's "Live".......

Passenger is amazing. First time I listened to it, I loved it -> forgot about it -> wondered why the hell I could hear crickets in the middle of the day -> loved it again.
as for the names......i'm not sure, there also a reproductive diagram in the cd case......
Chris writes wierd lyrics, that rarely make much sence, but sometimes it's like "Wham"! i understand! Still his lyrics are almost like litterary abstract art.

I forget what the hell I was doing, but I remembered IME and decided to check out a few songs. Through a bunch of random sites, I found a few clips, then downloaded some songs. Since I liked the songs, and remembered that you praised tQMD, I went out and bought it.
Just wondering, even though it has little to do with the present conversation, was Rain Will Fall a single? It's my favorite by them and for some reason very familiar but since I was three when Dig came out I have no idea how.
The first time I typed that I wrote down Raine Will Fall even though I specifically thinking about spelling Rain right.

As for Rain Will Fall, yes it was a single i believe but only a radio one, it was also featured on "true crime: Street's of LA" along with Levitate.
And about Our Lady Peace and I Mother Earth similarities, some people actually thought they were the same band with diffrent names, because Edwin looks raguly like raine and sounds raguly like him. They both came out at the same time, and they both used arnold Lanni.
