euro-does no one care?

Post by deniedjunkie »

one of the best sporting events , maybe only stanley cup playoffs and world cup are better.

who do you support?

who is gonna win?

surprises?

i support holland ,they looked like typical underachieving holland against germany but found a result somehow

i thought portugal was gonna win it but so much for that

i think latvia even being there and giving the the czechs a good game is already the surprise of the tourny and teams like romania and belgium being absent

I'm of course supporting england, due to my english heritage . . . and obviously I'm rather heart-broken at the moment - I mean, TWO goals in injury time, not just one but TWO. Hopefully though they won't have problems with croatia and switzerland (though those two teams won't be pushovers) and will still win the tournament.

everyone is shocked when i tell them that i'm portugese and don't give a fuck about soccer.

at work the other day, when portugal lost, people were coming up to me and laughing saying that portugal lost, but i honestly don't care. i'm not a soccer person.

Well, obviously I'm supporting England.

But I went to see Harry Potter instead of watching the match on Sunday and what a good decision that was
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I should support Holland, but I don't. They're a bunch of overrated, overpaid sissies. Before the tournament I thought Portugal would be favorite, but they could go out in the first round. I think France and Sweden will play the final. I hope the Swedes win, but most likely the French will. And never rule out Germany, it doesn't matter how bad their team is, they always have a chance of winning.

I'm not watching it, but I know a guy at school who has a France hat, and on the side he's written:

the area where i work, the majority of the people that live there are italian, so everyone keeps going on and on about how italy is going to win. and there are so many cars that have italy flags on them. just thought i should share.

Start your own thread for mexican soccer where you can talk to yourself! Mexican soccer can't hold a light to anything Europe produces!

Anyways I'm a big supporter of the French. Zizou's two goals were nothing short of magnificient. I have to tape today's game because of work, but I'm sure France will pull out a 2-0 victory against Croatia
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.
