Yeah, it's a xylophone (or a similar instrument). You can see Jer and Raine using it in the Christmas studio video.

What's with the "tonight you're all that I need" line? It's just so ... sappy and thoughtless.

Also, that little muted strumming thing in the second verse was good when the song was a rock song (Junos), but now it's definately a sappy pop/rock ballad, so that just doesn't work. Neither does the bridge guitar.

I don't think a lot of this song actually fits together. It just sounds like they took a bunch of little things they wanted to try, put it to some lyrics and a xylophone, and called it a song.

Why is everyone ignoring? Please send it to us that don't have the hub or can not go on it.

It's not a matter of ignoring the hubless. It's a matter of people who have the hub already sharing it with other hubbers. It's obviously going to be a lot slower to find someone to share it with you one-on-one.

but can anyone please help me out? I would like to hear all three songs from the Beer CD, but I don't have access to the hub, know how to use it, or am allowed to use it on this computer.

I don't know much about computers, anyways I would be so happy if anyone could help me out in any way.

Don't worry about the two live tracks, they're just from the live CD/DVD.

On first listen, I didn't like the start. By the end of the first listen it grew on me.

Now I think I like it a lot.

There is something very techno-y about this song.

and not enough Duncan.

Glockenspiel is the said instrument Rowan is playing :D I'm happy with it after several listens. I'm not the music critic that Robbo is, so I can disect the guitar parts and decide what constitutes good musical composition and construction. I'm not real big with the lyrics, but I like the music a lot now. Matt = happy

I was going to say something because nobody ever knows what mallet percussion instrument they're hearing, but Matt got it. Xylophones are made of wood, and I believe they don't make you go as deaf as a properly misused glockenspiel and vibraphone.
