I haven't voted yet. But yeah, greatest hits albums are for pussies. You already own ALL the songs, so why pay for the same thing over again? OLP is not notorious for going over the top, unless it's choreographed and done on a nightly stage. End of debate. Lock the thread. You all just got pwned.

they are hoping to make one... not definite yes thats true, because they are focusing on getting the new album done.

live is a greatest hits album this is just getting stupid now. I think it is time to retire the band and perhaps Steve could move onto a better band and Raine could do some solo stuff or work with other artists. They have 4 albums with 3 singles each I mean how the hell could that call for greatest hits when most of those werent that popular especially in the US. I highly doubt this source was true but if it is I seriously have no hope left. A B-sides album would be amazing but it will never be.

In all fairness, though, a greatest hits album (and most likely the live album) is a matter of contractual obligation, not a band decision.

ehhh i would say they have at least some say in what they do and if they didnt feel like releasing it then they would put out the new album. I can see them doing greatest hits if they didnt do live but to do greatest hits after live they need a new record company bad, which i think they are getting right?

Actually, I remember seeing a RHCP (who happen to have like five greatest hits albums, heh) interview, and the interviewer asked "So, what does this new greatest hits album symbolize as a part of your career?" (obviously looking for the "it's a new beginning" comment). John replied with "It doesn't mean anything. It's not symbolic. It's just something we were contractually obligated to do."

Yeah... bands don't always have a choice... and in the case of Sony... they've done this in the past. Silverchair had a greatest hits album put out after 3 albums... they actually told fans NOT to buy it, cos they didn't want it out. Heh.

So I checked out this spirtualmachines.net place where the news supposedly came from. I like how it features a bunch of teeny boppers and cool topics like "Is Jeremy married?" and other thought provoking threads. "liek omgz Jeremy is sooooooo cute blah blah teeny bopper trash". Not to mention that they are stealing the mp3's from ourladypeaceuk.com and posting them there. I'm certain Susie really appreciates that. But what burns me up the most are the little fuckers talking about taking forever to sign up for the hub. To those folks, I'd liek them to totally read this omg: FUCK YOU. I work 52 hours a week. Sorry if adding people to the hub isn't top priority. I usually take a day when I'm off and relaxed and add people. Then they go on to talk about how we're not as close. Not as close???? Even though we all disagree on things, if we were put together in a room, most all of us would have a good time I'm sure. Look at all the CM and hub meetups. Everyone always having a good time. It's late and I'm getting off my soap box now.

The ammount she posts matters not.

I could start a message board myself, and post a bunch of complete bullshit. Would that be valid just because it's my board, or because I post a lot?

Anyways, Matt's hit the nail on the head with that board.

There a fledgling board. Give them some slack. I've seen the very first threads and posts on this board as well. Believe me, very few of you were as articulate or insightful as you are now. I saw people who hate gravity now, but posted about how it was the greatest thing ever. You guys were able to see flaws in your postings and logic as time went by. I've been to boards where things are WAY worse than spiritualmachines.net. So I think as time goes by they have the chance to reach a level of maturity that we do.

The point isn't that they're immature, just that they're not exactly the best source for "confirmed" info.

Yeah, I have oodles of posts (again!) and I could say I got Chantal pregnant, but that doesn't exactly mean I did it. Sure, I did fuck her, but I was smart, I wrapped it up.
