I'd add some White Stripes to that list.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

lol i didn't say anything about bringing influencial, i said it brought something new or unique, or artistic. Which it did, IME's small fan base means nothing they do is that influential

thank you. I didn't really think of influential. I thought more or less of CD's that held up well over the years and almost everyone I knew had.

Like I said it is all taste and age. I am older so I might not of heard of abunch of the newer bands/artist coming out now that you guys think infuential.

What about Alanis with Jagged Little Pill.

I keep remembering these things at random. I can't come up with a good list. :P

ALanis is a great choice. It is hard to come up with list. I only came up with one cause I was listening to my friends IPOD before( I was tempted to keep it  )

Meh, people don't agree with my list because people don't know music.

actually i agree with several from your list, i just haven't heard the rest, considering i'm not the hip punk/emo college radio type that you are.

You would love our new college radio in town

Most of the ones I'd suggest have already been said. But also:

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Pixies - Doolittle
Belle & Sebastian - Tigermilk
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
