I believe the other thing you were talking about doing is formatting. Which sounds like a very good option with all the issues you're having. Do you have any place you can backup all your files? Because formatting erases everything on your harddrive, so you can start over fresh.

Hey, I havnt been on in a while so sorry if it sounds like im intruding...
I havnt had time to read the previous pages so sorry if someone has asked this already.

What are people using to download music right now? Cause I dont wanna use Kazaa w/ all its spyware crap floating around, and people have suggested Kazaa Light, but I cant find ne free versions newhere. Recently people have said LimeWire, but I havnt tried it yet, please lemme know what u guys are using thats good and doesnt have spyware problems. thx :mrgreen:

Limewire sucks ass, and has way more adware and spyware shit than Kazaa.

Kazaa Lite K++ is great.

it is but it is slow as hell, the stuff on your os takes like 3 hours this takes like 25 minutes

Yeah, formatting definitely sucks. I'm still recovering from my last format... I've got at least 50 programs to re-install still, and I formatted like... over a month ago. :uh:

you should do what i do, spend the time to make one good format of your hard drive. Then after that format, and once everything is the way you like it make a ghost image of your hard drive. Then next time when you go to format, it takes 20 minutes to wipe your hard drive, reinstall every single program and replace any files you had left in the ghost. And an easy way of saving your files is to keep a 5gb partition or so, you put the recent files in.

I format my computer once a year now, and it only takes 20 minutes of my life
